Veolia has recently opens a state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Gillmoss, Liverpool,UK. Veolia MRF in Gillmoss, Kiverpool UK has been in operation since late 2011, but has recently its grand opening. The facility, which has been designed, manufactured and installed by the CP Group, has the capacity to process 85,000 tonnes of mixed recyclables annually including cardboard, paper, glass, steep cans, aluminum, mixed plastics and plastic bottles.

One of the most unique characteristics of this facility is that it combines a high tech sorting with the latest green construction techniques. The attractive curved roof allows natural light into the building, and recycled materials were used in the construction of the building and its foundation.
