The Waste Atlas Initiative

 In less than a year Waste Atlas (www.atlas.d-waste.com) has become the ultimate free online tool that provides the waste global community with the most reliable data on waste management. By crowdsourcing and data mining mechanisms, we have already uploaded data for more than 162 countries, around 1900 cities and over 1900 waste treatment facilities. So far, more than 5,000 unique users have used Waste Atlas from 122 different countries, almost 1,000 people use its demo mobile app and more than 1,000 people have contributed with data.

 The best shot with the most accurate data will win an iPad

Be a part of Waste Atlas community!

  

 

A three month competition for the best shot and waste management data of any of the following categories:

  • dumpsites,
  • controlled landfills,
  • sanitary landfills,
  • source separated composting plants,
  • source separated Anaerobic Digestion plants,
  • MBT/Fuel production, MBT/AD plants
  • WTE/SRF/RDF Units

Who is winning?

After the end of the photo submission period , ten of the best photos will be published on D-Waste's Social Media Pages (Facebook and LinkedIn) for 15 days. The most popular photo (in terms of "likes") , will be the winner of the competition. 
The Winner will be announced through D-Waste website by the end of April 2014.
