Heraklion City and Tel Aviv join forces on new waste management practices

Α meeting was held last week between Deputy Mayor and President of the Waste Management Association of Tel Aviv Greater Area, Mr. Doron Shapir, the Mayor of Heraklion city of Crete - Greece, Mr. Yannis Kourakis, Mr. Antonis Mavropoulos, D-Waste's CEO, STC Chair in ISWA and Scientific Director of the Israel municipality and the Secretary of Sanitation Association in Tel Aviv, Mr. Amon Rabin.

During this meeting, participants exchanged views on new management practices, while considering opportunities for cooperation between the two municipalities.

In this context, they discussed about a joint effort effort on an integrated waste management with minimum cost to citizens.
